I'm running a NBA2k10 SIM style league. There will be 32 human controlled teams. Im guessing a 32 game season. We will use contracts, make our own set of rules to keep people from abusing exploits in the game. We will monitor points in the paint to keep this a SIM league. We don't want someone with Kobe pump faking, when defender bites, run toward the basket and dunk every time. We'll be looking for Field Goal attempts distribution throughout your whole team. 32 humans means its near impossible to find legit enthusiastic participants across the board and it will move at snails pace. Consider 10-12.
I understand what you're trying to do but how will you gauge what's abusing exploits? Someone could keep the game close but go berserk with Lebron in the final quarter. It'll be unstoppable but is it technically unrealistic? He does that in real life, occasionally. Some teams (in real life) don't have much field goal distribution throughout the whole roster.
Well right now we're currently running a successful Madden league with 32 human controlled teams. We're in week 7. We're all mature, adults, who have jobs. So right now the rules are one game every 5 days, if there isn't proof of a strong attempt made BY BOTH PARTIES then the member who isn't trying will get booted so the human can play vs CPU. And about the whole abusing exploits thing, 2k sports has the feature where you can save a replay, and upload it. And show it to me or Mike (guy who runs the site as a whole, I'm just helping him run the NBA2k part of it) Every complaint will be handled on a case by case basis. Also forgot to add earlier, this won't be a one-and-done season.... we'll do multiple seasons and have it CARRY OVER into NBA2k11.
