The Pacers team chemistry is pretty crappy, and Jackson isn't getting along with Jermaine O'Neal and coach Carlisle. It seems like he may be highly available. Skill-wise, he is a decent starting 2/3, with good defense and a streaky shot.

Unfortunately the Pacers need what the Rockets need, rebounding and PG depth.

    What could you give us?

He's a punk. He will destroy the already degressing chemistry in the team.

I would love for S. Jackson to become a Rocket and bring his fast break intensity to the floor! Living in SA, I saw him play quite a bit and was hoping the Rockets could have acquired him when he did not come to terms with the Spurs, a move that Popovich admittedly regretted. What about DA or Wesley in a trade?

Jackson is a head case, and has been since he signed the contract with the Pacers. I don't think that he would be a JVG player.
The guy I wish we could have back is Posey, now with the Heat. He played with intensity and was a great stop-and-pop shooter.

hell no we do not want him on this team. Basketball wise as a player I would like to have a player with his skills on this team, but he is a complete disruption and seemingly not a good person. Keep him away!

Takes too many shots and I just can't see him and Van Gundy together.

stephen doesnt play with heart, thas what we need, he doesnt provide that. he might give us an extra 14-18 ppg big deal. along with a bunch of drama and attitude, ill pass. i say we get james posey back.

I feel like Rox is not physical enough, look at our players. the old, weak, slow, skinny(T-mac), short. We actually need someone long and physically and fast like Jackson. but we cant get him anyways.

Some of ya'll have to be crazy not wanting S. Jackson on this team. He would be the perfect 3rd scorer that we need. He can shoot the ball well, plays good D, and can run the break.

Wesley and DA are really hurting us with their lack of shooting, they are missing wide open shots everytime.

If we could get Jackson (which is very unrealistic), I think he would be a great addition.

Pacers are an intresting team. To me their roster is loaded, but perhaps that is also a problem. It seems like the roles arent that well defined and not enough basketballs for all of that talent. (and they are seeming to miss role player Jeff Foster a whole heck of a lot!)

To me they need to offload some of that talent and tighten up the rotation. Not to mention their payroll is pretty high.

Guys that might be available in my opinion could be Jamaal Tinsley, Stephen Jackson and Fred Jones. I think with Saras there and Grainger coming on one of those 3 perviously mentioned could be moved.

I wouldnt mind Fred Jones because he is young, explosive and has a decent contract. Jackson is kind of a wildcard. He played well for the Spurs giving them a nice outside shot. And on the Rockets you have to believe he could do the same. I dont think we are going to see Jackson repeat the going into the stands and hitting someone thing. I think everyone has learned from that.

My main question on Jackson is will he be willing to do the "dirty work" as Tmac's sidekick wingman? I dont know. As much as we need a good outside shooter at that position, we also need someone that can get those long rebounds, play good defense on the opposing teams best wing players. Will Jackson make that sacrafice? I dont know.

And finally, Tinsley is pretty intriguing, but his histroy of injuries scares me.

As for who the Rockets would be willing to give up, clearly Wesley is the prime target to move since he has a 5M expiring contract. Alston could be moved too, but we would have to make sure we had another trade available to get a PG.

I would give up SS, DW, DA or RA to get him. He is a handful but I think his talent would be worth giving up either of the above to get him. He is selfish, arrogant and has a history of causing trouble, just what we need on this team. We have too many goodie two shoes on this team, we need a gangsta on this team.

Well, one thing is sure, he would do more dirty work than Wesley and DA combined. I remember Jackson being a pretty decent defender, I don't really notice since Artest is usually on the court.

Jackson reminds of Finley in a lot of ways. He's not going to blow you out of the water but he does a lot of things well.

as for Jackson it would be a change from what we have been getting at the 2 spot.I don't know if it would be for better or worse.
