I'm normally very good about limiting my time on the board and getting my work done, but today was an aberration, for reasons I think everyone can understand. So I'd ask if any of you are so inclined, to help me with a contest I'm trying to get people involved with. The prize is an iPad. I work for a company called pameno.com and the owners wanted to figure out a way to lighten things up. The site is devoted to disaster preparedness and news. A site full of content about hurricanes and floods and fires can be a bit of a downer, so the brass came up with the idea of featuring "heroes" that are nominated from within their community. The idea came after I profiled a doctor who travelled to Haiti after the earthquake there with the Israeli delegation. People like positive stories like that. The contest page is here . It works like this: You submit a nomination for someone you know that you consider to be a "hero" in 400 words or less. There's not any real stipulation about what that means -- the idea is that we want people to tell us what they think a hero is. Just bear in mind, everything is being screened, so try to keep it honest. Once it is accepted for submission, people are free to leave comments. This helps it get the attention of the writing staff. If those guys are really moved by an entry (or the popularity on the site) they'll contact the person who submitted the entry and start vetting the person nominated to write a feature like the one I posted a link to earlier in this post. If it leads to a feature getting written on the site, the person gets a new iPod. While the readership is aimed at an American audience (and the company is based in Los Angeles), but we don't care where you live -- we are just looking for good stories, and anyone can win. I don't pick the winners, but other than that I can vouch for the contest (I'm in charge of it). Note that there's no time limit. People can submit as often as they like, and there's always a chance a story can get the writers excited. Also, just a because a story is old doesn't mean it won't be picked in the future, especially if proves popular from people commenting. If you DON'T want to enter, feel free to look at the entries that are there so far, and if you really feel moved by a story, by all means, leave feedback. The site is still only a year old and light in user feedback (our prime audience so far is in the safety industry) but I'm trying to generate some interest with the contest and would love to send a prize to someone. Hero: Yesterday, oh man oh man yall are going to love this. I have a Gf ok we have been together for 2 years and I want to be with her but I don't want her to be the only one that I want to... Well you know. So call me what you will, but I have 4 other girls that I can literally call up and hangout and most likely have sex, anyways yesterday I had one of these girls pick me up so we could go eat breakfast, she picks me up ( I hate to be driven, but she wanted to) and we head towards ihop on the way there we smoke, somewhat of a wake&bake. We get there eat, talk, you know the Lusual. She invites me over to her house and we decide to smoke some more, then go inside she tells me she's going upstairs, long story short we had sex really great sex in fact. This White girl is gorgeous she has dirty blonde hair, green eyes, she play volleyball, so she has a toned body with great featured if you know what I mean she's an 8 out of 10 easily. Anyways by this time it's 3 in the afternoon and she decides to take me home due to the fact her parents would be arriving soon so I tell her to drop me off at one of my friends house that lives near my house but in fact is another girl > she drops me off kisses me and says hope to see you soon and drives away. I knock on the door and I'm invited inside(the little Time I had while I was in Ihop I was texting this other girl so we set something up for later) asked how my day was blah blah, this one she's a 6 out of a ten she's a White chick as well anyways you know we have sex at her house after 20 minutes of me arriving. By the time my friend comes and pick me up from her house it's 5 I'm picked up I tell my buddy how my day has gone so far laugh it up and we smoke and I'm dropped off go and pick up my gf and enjoy the rest of the day with her. This has been going on for almost 4 5 months just depending which days I have depends which girls I see. Look I know what y'all are thinking haha, I'm only 19 I'm living it up while I'm young but I'm just hoping this doesn't come back and bite me in the ass one day. Are there any dads out there who did this when they were young??
