Tried a mocha frappe today from McDonalds - their version of the Starbacks frappuccino. It was surprisingly good and only cost $2.29 for a small. I'll definitely try out the caramel frappe in the next couple of days. The only thing that bothers me is the consistency in taste from McD to McD. Sometimes their iced mocha tastes like crap, other times its good.
Starbucks is still better, I have to settle for McDonalds a lot around here because it's closer than Starbucks... but Starbucks still owns McDonalds in all coffee products, it's not even close, at least in my opinion.
So I bought another frappe on the way to the Rockets game today and guess what -- it tasted horrible. The guy basically admitted he hadn't been trained on how to make one. This is where McDonald's lags waaayyyyyyy behind Starbucks. It isn't even close.
Depends.... For the most part, going from starbucks to starbucks....the quality is the same. Tastes great. McD's.....the quality differs drastically from store to store.
