too bad it's now illegal. I was making at least a hundred a month on PartyPoker.. That new law was really impacted the WSOP this year. Number of participants dropped significantly and it's not going to improve unless this new law is lifted which I don't think is going to happen. Personally I think that's a good thing to do. Poker should be allowed for entertainment or group plays to hang out with your friend, not as a way to earn a living.
Huh? Is all online poker for money technically illegal now? What about Full Tilt? I don't know much about the scene, just curious.
What evidence do you have to support your claim that anyone with an IP originating from the US will be unable to play online poker?
Then you're playing on the wrong websites and don't know what's going on. There are tons of websites you can still play on.
Ever notice that the only entity that has the legality of gambling in the State of Texas is..... the State of Texas?
that's your problem. americans are still playing online w/o a problem at other sites. you just can't use your bank or CC to transfer money.
I did play on Bodog a couple months ago, it's still illegal... but I don't know how Bodog was still allowing play there. But before the law, playing on pokerroom.com was the ****. Bodog is ok. I don't play online anymore, only pokerhouses.
I'm as big of a poker junkie as anyone I know but playing poker online sucks. I don't think it improves your play at all. As a matter of fact I think it hurts your live play if you are just an internet player.
