U.S. Marine Cpl. Brian Shumylo of Dyer, Ind., shields his face from blowing sand around the landing pad at an air base in Kuwait after arriving by helicopter from a ship Tuesday, March, 18, 2003. Shumylo is in a unit that helps load heavy-lifting helicopters. (AP Photo/Julie Jacobson) --- I know we have some arabic speakers on the bbs... can anyone tell me what the text on the mask reads?
man, i shoulda read the caption first.. it's the guy's last name.. but it seems to be misspelled.. the caption says his last name is 'shumylo,' but the arabic appears to be 'sumylo..' the right-most letter (the 'w'-looking one) should have three dots (in trianglular formation) on top of it for the 'sh' sound.. but yeah, that is all..
Ain't it awesome how you just throw some abstract thing out on this bbs and POOF! an answer before you can blink... I have done the same thing with a bunch of computer prob's, translating Mandarin text...I even had a couple people take some Mandarin text and read it in Chinese into a mic and email me the wav. AWESOME! We ought to test the abilities of the board sometime. Pretend like all of the people of the board are just functioning as a part of a whole and see what kind of crap we could do... No more beers for me tonight.
this picture is on Drudgereport...the capiton below says, "we're going to get you, Saddam." I assumed that's what it meant.
