I love franchise mode on NBA Live 2001. I used to play it a lot, but simulate all the games, and go for like 25 seasons, or whatever the max number of seasons was. I'd always win like 15 or 18 championships. I'd get players like Eddie Griffin, Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry and Steve Francis, then dominate after a few years . . . Then I'd rebuild and draft some awesome players. The best one I ever had was "Erwin Denman" -- he was a SF averaging 30 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists per game . . .

    Franchise mode rocks!

If you like Franchise mode on NBA Live 2k1... you should try franchise mode in a sim designed for it.

For basketball: Fastbreak basketball www.sportplanet.com/fbb $20

For football: Front Office Football 2k2 (through EA e-lisence) $29.99

For baseball: Ootp3 (#4 comes out in April) www.sportplanet.com/ootp $19.99 (#4 will be 29.99 when it comes out)

for college football: Front office football: the college years www. solecismic.com $19.99

    soccer: championship manager $29.99

These games are great... they just don't have graphics. If you like the managing aspect of sports games as much or better... try these.

I have to agree with haven on this. If you're into the managing/trading/salary, etc. aspects of the game instead of eye-candy, you'd do yourself a service to trash NBA Live and pretty much anything "EA-like" (except for FOF).

There're only so many games you enjoy beating the pc/console 500-2 before it gets dull.
