If you buy the student teacher edition at compusa instead of the apple store, they won't ask for a student id. That makes it a lot cheaper and it comes with 3 licenses instead of one.
If you're a college student, you can get a copy for like 7 bucks The only bad part about Office 2004 is that it isn't an universal binary, so it runs kind of slow on intel macs
Really? I thought it was a few hundred dollars? I just got my first mac a few days ago, so im not to sure.
If you're at UH, go to the Cougar Byte in the UC, they sell it (legal version) for $7 to students and faculty
That's the problem with Macs - you have to pay for the software. PCs on the other hand... I found the case and motherboard that I'm currently using in a gutted machine with a busted video card that was sitting out by a dumpster. I then found another trash machine with a busted motherboard and salvaged the rest. The monitor was a throwaway with damaged adapter pins. The keyboard and mouse came from work. Then, add in the price of all the software I have on this thing, including Windows, and it brings you to a grand total of: $0.00 Beat that, Apple.
