Just wondering if anyone here on CF can provide some help for an accounting major finishing up this summer. I've been applying all year but nothing yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you planning on doing your MBA or Masters? The big 4 typically look for CPA candidates in my (limited) experience. I've heard that a lot of firms have reduced the number of interns they're taking on. I know some of the people I finished undergrad with ended up working pro-bono for smaller firms between junior and senior year, which kinda sucks. Hopefully it won't come to that for you, but definitely take what you can get if it's your only option.
Ziggy, if it comes down to it yes. Just as long as I can get some experience and there is a possibility of me getting a job afterwards. Dharocks, yes I plan on sitting for the CPA but that most likely won't happen until the latter part of 2013 when I for sure have all of my 150 credit hours.
