Take a good look at this picture. It's a frame capture taken from Bush's new ad up on his website. Notice anything funny about it?
At first I thought there were only a few different soldiers and they just reproduced their image, but I don't think that's it.
ding ding ding! We have a winner! Look at the black guy in the far left lower corner. Now look at the guy to his left and the guy standing behind them forming a triangle. Now look at the next black guy to right and repeat the triangle pattern. And again closer to the center of the picture. Also look at the two guys standing center front over the back of the blond kid's head. They are repeated to the right. The solders are photoshopped to make them look like a large crowd of solders! LOL!!!
yeah i saw the clone army at first glance, whenever I see a bush advertisement of people I count how many black people they put standing right behind him or in a visible location (although he doesn't do this in middle states and some southern states). clone armies, egad. whatever it takes, even if it means lying your ass off and making stuff up (this goes for both candidates, although cheney's daughter really is a lesbian. a lesbian who is cheney's daughter)
Wow, are you going to call CBS News or should I? I think it is obvious that the this powerful "solders" image in the ad is just a symbol for Americans in the crowd looking out into the deep expanse; and the photoshoped soldiers are representative of the freedom that we are all so deeply rooting for, the stalwart sacrifice that these men who have served our country to the fullest is to be cheered in this ever growing time of division.
I actually started laughing aloud when I read this. Seriously. What fantastic politico-bull****! Er...you're kidding, right, with the whole, y'know, clichéd demagoguery thing? Right? Just checking.
Now that's funny stuff. Do you have to take a photoshop class to do this or do you think I could just get a book?
ok, im going to take this for a spin... by photoshopping the troops and literally "copying" them, the construction of this poster demonstrates the lack of support this administration has of the troops. By copying them, they take away their individualism and their uniqueness. This implies that since the soldiers are not unique, and can be copied with a few clicks, it demonstrates that the administration only finds them to be expendable. In addition, by taking away their individualism they are also taking away one of the natural characteristics of being a free American, similar viewpoints were present during the time of slavery when slaves weren't allowed to have names. Furthmore, this shows that the administration believes that we have an abundant number of lives to use at their own will. Whatever it takes, indeed. Easy to say when the sacrifice is something you don't deem important.
This is serious business thadeus. If you want to make a joke out of this then go ahead. I am a white conservative Republican and I can't think for myself because I have bought into all the lies of GWB's administration.
Yep, you have it all figured out there Tex. Let me guess, you are in the "anyone but Bush camp" and John Kerry just so happens to be the representative to lead the liberals back to the glory days of the Clinton era. Good luck with that...
Whatever it takes to win. Aaaaah......how I love politics and the lies & hypocrisy that comes with it. How sweet it is.
I don't think there are enough soldiers left in America right now for a photo like that to be taken... they're all on assignment.
Link INDIANOLA, Iowa - President Bush (news - web sites)'s campaign acknowledged Thursday that it had doctored a photograph used in a television commercial and said the ad will be re-edited and reshipped to TV stations. The photo of Bush addressing a group of soldiers was edited to remove both the president and the podium where he was standing. A group of soldiers in the crowd was electronically copied to fill in the space, aides say. "There was no need to do that," said Mark McKinnon, head of Bush's advertising team who shouldered the blame. "Everyone technically works for me so I accept the responsibility." The original photograph shows a sea of soldiers sitting behind the president as he stands at a podium just left of the center of the frame. Democrats said it is fitting that Bush would fabricate an advertising image. "This administration has always had a problem telling the truth from Iraq (news - web sites) to jobs to health care," said Kerry spokesman Joe Lockhart. "The Bush campaign's advertising has been consistently dishonest in what they say. But today, it's been exposed for being dishonest about what we see. If they won't tell the truth in an ad, they won't tell the truth about anything else." McKinnon said a video editor he declined to identify was told to edit the picture to focus on a young boy waving a flag. On his own initiative, the editor removed the podium and copied the faces, McKinnon said. "I didn't even know it was done," he said. The doctoring was first revealed on an Internet site. "There was no intention on anybody's part to try to represent anything that wasn't true," McKinnon said The Bush campaign noted that Bush was addressing a large group of troops in both the original and edited version. "Bush is talking to the troops, the troops are real," said Bush spokesman Steve Schmidt said. He noted that the crowd the president was speaking to was much larger than depicted in the ad. The ad, released Wednesday, is an emotional appeal in which Bush defends his decision to go to war and empathizes with fallen soldiers and their families. The ad is running on national cable networks and in local media markets in at least one state, Ohio. The issue was first mentioned on the liberal Web log www.dailykos.com.
Wrong again, boyo. I'm in the same camp I've been in since I started voting for President in 1980. I'm in the "lesser of two evils" camp. And, to me, the lesser of two evils this year is John Kerry. John Kerry is not a distinguished Senator, nor does he stand for some of the beliefs that I hold dear. However, he is not a crook and a proven liar, as is George W. Bush, and that's why I voted for him yesterday. Any questions?
