I recently graduated from U of H and I have come to realize looking for a job sucks. It is really disheartning knowing you worked hard and it just so difficult right now. I know many are out of work but I did not expect this. The jist of my whining is if any of you in the houston area know of any job openings please let me know. I know I will get smart comments back but yea I hope someone seriously in the clutch fans community has some leads.
Im pretty much in the same boat you are. Just graduated from UT with an economics degree. I'm looking into some internships or skills classes to embelish my resume in order to have something to submit in terms of a long-term job. I suggest doing something to get your feet wet first (may not pay well.. but gotta start somewhere) and try to use any sort of connections you can to get your foot in the door. best of luck, -nos
my degree is a b.s. in education... if I like the job or would want to do it nights and weekends are not a problem. if you would like to email me its bjberry@gmail.com
My wife is looking for a new job as well. She graduated about a year ago, but she's been stuck in a dead in job that she's looking to get out of. She's got a B.S. of Mathematics from U of H.
looking for teachers they do but not in the spring... and then when they say they need teachers here is what they really mean. They want a spanish teacher a special ed teacher a esl teacher or bilingual.... finding a teaching job is harder then i thought it would be.
Just sent you an e-mail. The job I know of is in television production...it's really, really, really simple (most monkeys are incredibly qualified). Hours are 4/5p-10p, about 30/hrs a week. It's a good position if you're interested in TV, or if you're looking for a job in your field...gives you free time to do interviews, or you can substitute teach a class during the day.
Mind if you share the job info, I have a friend that studied media and is looking for a job like this. Thanks. email: lnguy@imap.cc
