You YANK  ... good luck surviving this world... I dare you to say this in a pub showing a PREMIER match in "London". REAL FOOTBALL is played with your foot. And NO HOUSTON ties to this thread, plus misspelling "appreciated" is DOUBLE fail in the interWeb laws of the game. Sorry .

    You deserve this, sir:

A number of pubs will show it for expats but there's some cheesy chain called "the sports cafe" that probably has the most.

Real football in London? Should be tons of games as they have a lot of local teams. Chelsea, Fulham, etc.

You will be fine, just ask around and you can get the Texans game. London has a pretty big NFL fanbase second only to the Germans in Europe

OK, so no one knows of a specific-NFL friendly pub in London where I can watch the Texans (or ANY team for that matter)...

To those who responded normally, and understood my request - thanks

to the eurotrash/non-americans who think soccer is a real sport...

Someone already said it - the Sports Cafe on Haymarket has all the american games on.

and i think GB won more medals than phelps. otherwise, a great cartoon.

I think the capitalized REAL naturally invites criticism of your post since a lot of Americans love football and in that context REAL football would imply soccer

I believe that the brits would say that they play PROPER football - not REAL...

"real" is such a yank term

I have been born and raised in the states.... In fact i'm in the Marine Corps. But from my experiences there are more trashy white people in the states than in Europe. Plus "real" football is played with your foot. Plus "real" football is actually an international sport while American football is only loved by us. Plus "real" football requires more stamina, coordination, and footwork. They are two totally different sports that are good in their own merits.

The attack on the sport you did was unnecessary. If you want to show your American pride do it a different way... For example: not being a douche

oh my god get over yourselves. Dude just seemed excited about the football season and wanted a place to watch. I have never seen a more defensive sports fan than the soccer fan that DEMANDS HIS SPORT BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

He doesn't care about your "beautiful game". I dont care; most of this board doesn't care.

I'm sorry, but we were not the ones to bring the sport of soccer up in the board. If most if this board does not care about it, then why did the tc bring it up? Why couldn't he just ask where to find a NFL game in London? Why did he have to say euro trash and "soccer is not a real sport". What was the point other then to annoy other posters. If you did not want us being defensive about a sport we enjoy then don't bash it. Its as simple as that. Okay. Just leave it out. I know most of the people on this board don't care about it. That is why I do not post about it and unnecessarily jabbing it will cause me and the few posters who do enjoy the sport to be defensive. Its a sport I enjoy. So here is a deal. Don't bash the sport and I won't try to defend or talk about it. I can give two ****s if you care about the sport or not.

and btw, I don't think a soccer fan has to worry about the sport being taken seriously :)

Even though I'm a huge soccer fan and don't want to help out a socer basher, there's a American-style sports bar called The Sports Cafe. You could walk there from Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus Tube stops. Beware that it will be very crowded there as tons of Americans bombard that place to watch American throwball er football.

thanks - I went there and had a blast. Even shared a pint with the owner (a brit who was a die hard Steelers fan)

I think half the Americans in London were there last night - and based on the soccer snobbery from the posts above, I know why. 90 percent of the tvs were on NFL Football - and the brits, aussies, and americans were all glued to the games

I mean why??? What is the point. Just leave the sport alone... If you hate it, its your problem. Calling soccer fans snobs because they are defending their sport from someone who thinks the sport is not a real sport is rather pitiful.

It sucks that the world's most popular sport can't be taken seriously in the US. It's like a party where everyone's invited...but instead we decide to stay home and party alone with our own games.
