Now that the draft results are in, and pending further trades in the offseason, it's only appropriate to resume speculation of totally random and unsubstanciated trades and free-agent signings, even more so now that the draft has left many with doubts about our improvement over the next year. I would like to see the Rockets pursue Orlando's Bo Outlaw who, correct me if I'm wrong, is a free agent. I believe he's a solid choice to play small forward especially since we'd be adding a seasoned (but in his prime) veteran to guide our young pups, and if we decide to trade Walt or Kenny (which seems doubtful), he could fit in nicely. I think he's a good choice and probably wouldn't cost alot. Also, does anyone think Collier and Langhi are just a couple of big guys we drafted in order to complete a more enticing trade package to hopefully acquire somebody more solid? This way we could still offer a package of a seven footer (Collier instead of Cato) and a combination of Walt,KT,Drew(definately),plus change. I realize this is just wishful thinking on my part, and that Rudy actually intends on developing these guys, but if anyone has anything to offer, please feel free to entertain me at least. ------------------
If I'm not mistaken, with Orlando doing those trades last night they now have room to resign all their own free agents. Orlando could and will offer him a good deal more than we can, and even though I like Bo, I'd like to get more than Outlaw out of our trade exception. ------------------ Member of the pro-Collier/Langhi movement.
