After almost 4 years of use, my Ipod Nano has just about bit the dust. I've been interested in getting an Ipod Touch for a while now, so I figure now I have a reason to justify it. Anybody know of any stores that are currently running sales on them? I have a couple hundred dollars in visa gift cards, so I prefer to go to a B&M store as opposed to online.

Prices on these type of Apple products are usually set in stone. You'll find the same price everywhere. I got a "free" Ipod Touch last month when I used my Discover Card reward points to get one.

I'll sell you my 16GB iPod touch for $200 (I just got the 16GB iPod and have no use for the iPod touch).

I did the same for B, but she doesn't like it.

Please tell me what is cool about it. I might keep it myself, as it does seem awesome.

Its an iPhone without the phone.

    1. You have the iPod functions along with wireless connection to iTunes (via WiFi)
    2. Games and other apps (like Facebook, Myspace etc) from the App Store
    3. An internet browser (but will require Wifi for use)
    4. Nike + for workouts
    5. Heck, I think you could even use the device as a day planner or notebook because of the calender and notes section included.

The only bad thing.....some apps will require a Wifi connection for use or else, there useless.

Yeah also keep in mind the Touch has a speaker, but the iPhone has "better" speakers.

With that in mind, another key difference is no microphone, thus certain apps will not function on the Touch.

And for some reason the new Mint.com app (a terrific financial budgeting software) will not function on the Touch, but will on the iPhone.
