Anyone know how to get more hits on Youtube videos?

    I made a Youtube video for an Entrepreneur class I'm taking, and my grade is based on the amount of hits the video receives. Most groups have received around one to five thousand hits so far, but a few groups managed to get over 20,000 views. The contest started last month. Only one video hit a home run and received over 400,000 clicks in one week.

    Any tips?

    EDIT: I moved up to 21st place. Only 900 hits and I crack the top 20. I'm refunding the money from my ad words account and donating it to this great website.

    Just let the Clutchfan peeps know what the URL is. We'll watch it every day, and twice on Sunday for you. :eek:

    With a name like "BEAT LA", I'd watch it four times a day, all from different IPs here at my work. :eek:

    isn't it just about the tags and thumbnail you choose?

    pick a suggestive thumbnail....throw in some hot tags and you should see the views increase

    you can even try posting it as a response to other popular videos

    Spam message boards, create fake social network accounts, craigslist ads, have a site with traffic? redirect the URL to your vid.

    Take a picture of a pretty girl with cleavege. Place picture in the middle of your video as to trick youtube to make that your thumbnail.

    Tag your video with as many missleading themes as possible. Like Sex, ipod, ps3, free, demi levato, cyrus, jonas, twilight.

    Dissable comments and enjoy your OVER 9000 hits.

    I already made the video and I'm in 22nd place out of 35. It's too late to make a new video now.

    The top 5 videos receive full credit, the next five receive a 95, and so on.

    My group invested $100 in Google Ad Words and it hasn't received a single click from it.

    Make a good video. Explosions, boobs, ninjas, sports, and electric guitars are all adequate subjects. If you can combine all of them, you have a surefire winner.

    One group tried something like that and failed. They didn't post a cleavage shot in the thumbnail, but the title said MUST SEE BOOBS. I think they only have like 1,100 views.

    That was really boring and did not include any of the subjects I listed. I'm not much of a smartphone guy though. I own and love my Samsung Gravity 2. Built like a brick.

    I'll keep refreshing the page though, to help you out.
