Hello clutchfans... I come today in a plea for help. I need a recommendation for an experienced immigration attorney who can advise on a spousal green card application. Anyone have a contact? *Someone at least familiar with Turkish laws is a plus. Also if you know any great web resources please send them my way. The government has created a nice web of things to navigate and on some issues I haven't the foggiest.
If it a clean ordinary spousal case without crimes, deportations etc. , with clearly valid birth, divorce ,marriage certificates etc. you could save substantial money by going to Catholic Charities. in Houston. They have very experienced paralegals supervised by some lawyers who have done these type of cases for years. Nancy Falgout is a reliable perhaps more mid price lawyer. Gordon Quan is certainly among the most famous and good, though perhaps more pricey. His office will undoubtedly be sufficiently familiar with Turkish laws, but much familiarity is usually not necessary unless dealing with complicated issues.
I know a very good one that works in the same building I have my office in. I have spoken to her on occasion and she seems to know her stuff. She has been practicing immigration law for over 20+ years. I can go ahead and get her number this Monday when I go back to work if you want to give her a try.
Marriage is marriage. Under the eyes of the law, the spouse can petition residency for their new partner. There are just some questions to answer. It looks like it's a straight law based on previous issues with immigration and residency status. It is not that difficult to figure out what to do in any case... just as long as you (or whoever you're asking to sponsor as spouse) can call the U.S. and A. the home for residency purposes. What is your question, exactly, that needs to be answered by an attorney??
Gordon Quan. He's helped out members of my family before and is the best you'll find in Houston-albeit a little pricey. He just started his own practice a few months ago after leaving the firm he was a partner in. Here's his office number- Tel-(713) 625-9200 http://www.quanlaw.com/
I can only speak from experience first hand. I have a friend that was held in immigration detention center in north Houston and was set to stay there indefinitely. Alexander Afanassiev got him out right away. The customs officials were saying that Alexander Afanassiev was the best immigration lawyer and that if he didnt have Alexander he would still be stuck there. Apparently Alexander Afanassiev does not come cheap though. Alexander Afanassiev is part of that same foster quan firm people here are referencing yet my understanding they are splitting the firm up.
Foster quan is widely considered the best immigration practice. That said quan did recently leave the firm w a few attorneys to start his own practice.
I believe Alexander went with Mr Quan. The attorneys that went with Quan are all focusing on Individual Immigration issues as opposed to the attorneys that stayed with Foster-they're focusing on assisting Corporations w/employee immigration issues.
Not in houston but best immigration attorney in Texas. simon azar-farr located in San Antonio. He's probably the most expensive immigration attorney in Texas. If your case is simple I would not recommend him. If your case is twisted I would recommend to give him a call. I think his price starts from 40k.
I was looking for legal ways to prove temporary residence in another country and establish that my permanent domicile is in the us. I want to know how to legally demonstrate this for a fiancé visa.
