Anyone know a good custom jewelry maker?

This would be for a custom made engagement ring. The girl hates diamonds, so a traditional style ring is out of the question. I know you can get traditional style rings with gemstones other than diamonds (sapphire, emerald, etc.), but the guy was thinking of something like this:

• A certain gem on one side, probably labradorite to represent where the man is from.
• Something else on the other side to represent where the woman is from (still to be determined... maybe slate?).
• Amethyst in the middle to represent where they met and got together (the area is famous for its large amethyst deposits).

Would appreciate any suggestions or referrals. Haven't had much luck to date trying to find a jeweler who would create something like this. The person of interest is not located in Houston, so ideally this would be a reputable online business that would ship.

 

It seems that most of the ones out there specialize in diamonds only. Haven't found many that use alternative gemstones.
