I'm having a problem with a credit agency and I am looking for a lawyer who is experienced in dealing with them.

    Any suggestions?

I don't know for sure of a lawyer, but I think there is some kind of credit counseling bureau. They might be able to recommend someone.

Those creditors can be a real pain. There is also a book(I forgot the title), that lists what your rights are. It really goes into depth about when the creditors are allowed to call, that they aren't allowed to send certain kinds of mail to you, that they can't call you at work unless you give them permission etc...

The book was at the Barnes and Noble business section at the 66th and BWY BN in NYC.

    Good luck

Look up Fair Debt Collection act on the internet...it lays out the stuff Blade is talking about...but it sounded to me more like you were having a problem with the reporting agency...not with the creditor, itself, right???

    You're the bomb. :D

There are many attorneys that handle this kind of work. You may wish to call the Texas Lawyers Referral Service. Once you get a referral, you can go to texasbar.com and look up their disciplinary history.
