Wow, what a game. A big brawl to start off the game, Pedro comes within two outs of registering his first career no-hitter and Carl Everett is a single away from hitting for the cycle. I only caught the last two innings, but its game's like these that keep me at least casually interested in the game of baseball.

Didn't see it, but heard about it. Was watching the 'Stros destroy the Mets 11-1. Bags hits his 40th HR and Wade Miller got his first complete game. If they would have played like this at the beginning of the season we would be in the playoffs.

Eusebio's streak was stopped at 24 games by the way. Alou hit into a double play with Eusebio on deck in the 9th.
