The ESPN/TNT/NBA Labron hype machine is just wearing me out. Now Nike has started. The guy is probably a nice kid but I feel almost forced to root against him just because I'm so tired of hearing about him.

Granted, I'll probably watch some of the game tonight but I don't plan on following his every move even though it will be force fed to me by Sports Center every night.

Nah, I hope he makes it huge. LeBron James doesn't control the media, or the suffocating hype surrounding him.

It's the media's fault, not his. I'm rooting against them!

By the same token, the media made him. Without the hype do you think he would have been the #1 pick or would Nike have given him 90 million?

    He is decent..

    Carmelo is decent.

Keith Van Horn looked great! Mutombo was doing a pretty good job tonight too...T-Mac was just horribly off target...but he stepped up at the very end to pull away with a narrow victory for the Magic. Gooden is just decent. I liked Giricek...Magic offense has lots of ball movement..I like their offense..although they barely won.

And Mobley is definitely better than Allan Houston.

The Nike commercial running now leaves me clueless. Lebron holding the ball for 10 seconds and gave a robotic smile? What is it?

It's supposed to be him choking under the presure. Then he just smiles and says, just kidding.

Lebron is going to be one of the great ones. What other 18 year olds can get 12 pts, 6 asts, and 3 rbs in the first half of their first NBA game. Once he develops a nice jump shot he will be unstopable and the best player in the league. He's got it all.

Great start to the second half. This kid is the real deal. Think of what he could do if the Cavs ran a competent offense.

That break where he did a left-handed scoop shot midway in the lane was a very impressive display of skill. He's made some damn good decisions as well.

The Cavs could be a very interesting team if Lebron can play this well. The Lebron League Pass continues tomorrow night on TNT.
