I'm having some problems with my Numark Mixdeck and need some help. Let me know if you're a DJ and can help. (rep to anyone that can)
It recognized it 2 months ago, but this is the first time I've hooked it up since then and it won't now. Back then it wouldn't connect to virtual DJ though, but that's a problem for later.
I think the numark comes with an intro version of Serato. Make sure that you are trying to use the software that came with the deck on your first try. Also make sure to plug in the power adapter if your deck came with one. A a lot of these decks say they can run on USB power, but I have experienced nothing but problems trying to power them from just the USB port. Make sure your computers power management settings are set to where it doesn't go to sleep or turn off power to certain ports. I recommend using the high performance power scheme on your laptop.
Reinstall the driver and software and try using another USB cable or a different USB port on your computer.
I own a Traktor Kontrol S4 and had similar issues that were due to the power management on my laptop and not using the ac adapter.
Try completely uninstalling any remnants of the driver first. You might just have corrupted files. Once you completely uninstall any traces of that driver, reconnect your hardware and it should recognize as new hardware. Then point it to the proper driver file on your hard drive.
