Okay, I'll preface this by saying that I, like most people, are hooked on HD and my cable bill routinely 100.00 a month, and that is only if you aren't late on your bill. I have direct tv & if you know anything about these guys to get all of the good HD channels you have a get a package that is at minimum 65.00 a month for the basic stations. Then add 10.00 for HD. Plus 4.99 for the "extra" HD packages, then 15.00 in taxes. I also of this crap I don't even want. I just want the regular basic cable stations, like Comody Central, TNT, Discovery, AP, in HD. Any suggestions?
did u check comcast.. i know cable companies get a bad rep about being expensive..but sometimes they are the cheaper solution.
http://www.pfadvice.com/2006/06/15/50-off-cable-tv-bill/ http://freefrombroke.com/2009/01/save-cable-bill.html just ask. give them some story about how you'd like to keep your service, but at the current rate you may have to cancel because you may need to cut some costs. tell them you are wondering if they can possibly offer a discounted rate. i do it all the time with comcast, it never fails.
Have you tried seeing what something else may cost? Like Uverse, FIOS, cable, etc? Every call you make, say you're looking to switch and ask what kind of deals they have (or just visit their sites). Outside of that - get rid of the service. If you're having issues paying the bill, and it's a luxury, don't use it.
