i have verizon wireless and currently i cant be anywhere near my home to use this phone? is it because towers dont have power or they are damaged? any info would be appreciated
where you located? I have Verizon and Tmobile and both are working just fine. I know there were some issues around town. I heard that Sprint and Cricket were having issues at the moment.
I have 3 phones: Verizon, ATT, and T-Mobile All 3 had major issues in my area yesterday - Pearland ATT - kept on showing SOS the entire day T-Mobile - lots of call failed errors Verizon - Lots of dropped calls and unable to dial
I believe Verizon said they had minimal tower damage, but since so many land lines are out and people don't have power for their cordless phones at home, the wireless networks have been inundated.
Me too. Most of Mo City has no power, home phone or cell phone signal. My home phone did start working this morning, but still no power. I have a business on HWY 6 (The UPS Store). I've got power and am open today. Right next door to me is a Panera Bread. They're not open today put their patio is packed with people using the WiFi.
T-Mobile was messing up the whole weekend. It started working fine yesterday. Lots of "Call Failed. Network is Busy" messages. I know Sprint is really messed up and their text messages were being delayed by up to an hour.
My T-mobile totally isn't working AT ALL today. No Service. My friend who has t-mobile says her sidekick is working fine. Anyone with T-mobile experiencing problems today?
I got T-mobile. It seems to work but up here on the 15th floor, receptions seems to be much worse than normal. I can't hold a conversation and need to call back from a landline.
I have a "G" icon on my Samsung AT&T phone. I've never seen this before. Does anyone know what the G stands for?
I spoke to Sprint last night about the recent problem I'd been having with calls not coming in. They said it is an open issue and that they had some significant tower damage that they're working through.
Not sure but it may stand for GSM I have an ATT Blackberry and when there is bad reception or in rural areas it shows GSM and I can make call but cannot transmit data. Normally it says EDGE.
I'm in New York right now and have Verizon. Most of my received calls are still going straight to voice mail, but I can make outgoing calls now... something I wasn't able to do in Houston.
