If so what medicine do you take? Adderall or Ritalin?
If you take Adderall, do you take the generic version or the name brand version?
I recently went to CVS to get a re-fill on my prescription instead of Walgreens and cvs' generic Adderall is blue.. and it makes me feel... WEIRD AS HELL.

    It looks like this

I know some of you may think ADD is for little kids but alot of adults also have it.

it looks like the blue one is the 10mg one. i usually take the generic 20mg one from CVS and it is orange. and for you people who take adderall to study, you guys are just screwing yourself in the end. everytime you take it, you decrease your confidence in yourself and your ability to study. Ultimately, you'll end up developing a dependence on it. don't be stupid.
people who do have add/adhd don't take it to get A's, they take it just to get on the same level as people who don't have it.

Weird as in focused? I haven't taken it since I graduated a couple years ago. But it was like the best diet pill/study-aid/hangover-preventing pill one could ask for.

The blue ones are 10mg, orange, pink and white are 20 mg. They also make Time release ones xr's. Those one's kinda suck.

A lot of times I'm convinced I do, but I've never gone to see a doctor for it - I probably would have gotten better grades in college if I had. Shoot, I'd probably actually do work during the day if I did.

I strongly suspect that I have ADD, and I have taken Adderal\Ritalin of many different types and colors. Some made me feel worst then others, but still worked.

PS. To all you drug dealers who are thinking about expanding the business, look into Adderal\Ritalin ;) . A lot you would be suprised by the amount of people who abuse these types of drugs, especially at competitive universities.

Isn't it funny that doctors have to have YOUR APPROVAL to give you a pill? :p

Take FISH OIL. Two caplets daily. You're missing fish. Asian countries don't have this problem because they eat a lot of fish and have more discipline, and less CABLE TV ;) .

    Nope its not Tom Cruise.

I suppose I am just on the side of the fence that ADD/ADHD is a strictly AMERICAN phenomenon that can only be treated with pills.

Apparently Europeans and Asians have survived treating this with diet changes, and behavioral changes. The fact that some one can sit there and make a 40 on a test and attribute it to ADD/ADHD sounds to me like a cop out. If you cant sit still for 40 minutes to study your English vocab for a test the next day I doubt pills can solve your wandering mind, only straight up will power and devotion to your work can do that.

Pills dont change the person, just the excuse.

haha, dude ive tried not taking my medication. I did it all last semester and I ended up not getting 2 credits! I started taking it again this semester as my psychiatrist recommend I do and I'm not failing any classes, seem to focus better, and I'm not getting in trouble.

only thing thats not cool is those blue mofos making me feel like crap

I dont doubt that...however my main concern is when I attended St Edwards a few semesters back I had a room mate who was do Dependant on those pills and one week his RX ran out....his life went to shambles he complained he couldnt do homework, focus in class etc.

And guess what....he would sit on his ass and play guitar hero and Final Fantasy 7 for hours on end without as much as fidgeting.

Thats where my doubt began to fester about the validity of this disorder.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in high school. I was prescribed ritalin. It made me feel dirty and sweaty. Essentially they are all legal speed. I have done well without it. Try a self stimulating action to redirect your energy (tap your fingers, shake your leg, etc.) Just be discreet or you'll look like a fool.
