This definitely looks like a thing I would be interested in, but Vizio's site does not even seem to acknowledge its existence.

    http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/vizio-vf551xvt/4505-6482_7-33485116.html?tag=txt;also

Vizio VF551XVT is supposedly coming 'in June', and 55" LED flat panel 240hz, all the bells and whistles, 5 HDMI inputs, etc etc, all for the suggested starting price of $1999.

But we're in June now, and still not hearing anything concrete yet.

    What say ye?

I say vizio blows goat balls. I have one of their piece 'o crap products hanging on the wall right now that developed funky red lines 2 weeks after the warranty went out. Save your money and buy a real tv.

I use a 42 inch Vizio plasma and I couldn't be happier with the product/brand.

I got it for 750 over a year ago, so factoring in price with results, I'm very satisfied.

Vizio might be good when you consider the price, but overall quality compared to any name brand it blows monkey nutz.

The LCD screen is not why they are cheaper. It is the processor and and inputs, menus. If your screen went bad, it isn't because it was a Vizio.

Vizio's usually have LG panels, so reliability issues generally don't stem from those.

I have 3 Westinghouse and one Vizio all performing wonderfully.

Does anyone have an LED set? What are the benefits?

I can't say I know a whole lot of the technical side of these TVs, but at the Fry's at 59 and West Bellfort, they've got a display of three 240Hz LEDs set up in the middle of the store. To put it simply, these things look amazing. They put my 47" 1080p LG to absolute shame. I think once you see one in action with a recent Blu-ray movie (Transformers, for example, is ridiculous), you'll understand. If you're interested in checking it out, definitely do so.

I have a 27" in my geek room and it's performed well. The picture is pretty good for a 2nd tier set.

I have a Westinghouse 42" lcd, talked into that company by DD.

And recently got my girl a Samsung 37" from Radioshack for around $520.
