Or how about the time that Horry (after being traded to the Suns) threw the towel in "Coach" Ainge's face. That was funny as well

Ainge is a LB. He always got under my skin, whether on the Celtics or the Suns.

 

Apparently Horry was out to get Ainge from Day One he got to Phoenix because of the Elie ball to the head incident. Horry tototally held that grudge.

 

Or how about when Elie hit that 3 against the Suns that got us into the Finals?

 

Or how about the time Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and the Mud Dogs won the Bourbon Bowl?

I was at an Astros game during that series that Danny Ainge showed up for. They showed him up on the screen, and he was sitting really close to where I was. When his image hit the screen, the Astrodome was drowned in loud boos!!! It was quite funny...he even started laughing.

My dad still bites his tongue and gets an angry look in his eyes when he talks about Danny Ainge. "That little punk!"

 

The ball to the face was in the first run in 93-94. The kiss of death was in the second year.

I just watched the video of this recently, first time since I saw it live. I couldn't even SEE Clyde, as Malone had him in that friggin Bearhug.

ARGH it pisses me off.

 

It was the first championship run.

 

They should have not held back Mario Elie and let him go after Ainge. Ainge is a punk.
