i know i will get laughed for this thread but i do have 2 testicles and not 2 ovaries and i am a 25 year old guy.

can't really find anything that has changed much in my life. originally i noticed i was getting dehydrated easily a few days ago when i was playing basketball and it took me forever to get my body rehydrated. then i noticed i was getting what i realized to be hot flashes. like right now i am at work in an air conditioned environment and i am lightly sweating and getting hot. anyone have any experience with this? is this a symptom of a larger problem? i've already tried looking on the internet and its been pretty much useless unless.

as long as you're not bleeding from your nipples, i think you're fine.

You could be running a fever from a slight infection or something. You also sound like a possible hyperactive thyroid.

You might want to go to a Doctor if it continues. If it goes away I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, lay off caffeine or if you are taking cold medicines, slow down on those.

You might have let yourself get dehydrated and have been running slightly dehydrated for a while now. Drink extra water until you pee clear.

Seriously, I'd go see a doctor.

I can ask my girlfriend who she goes to.

If it continues, get your blood glucose level tested the next time you have a physical. They usually test it during a normal blood panel, but ask for it specifically.

yeah if this goes on the rest of the week then i'm gonna call the doctor. i don't think it's hyperactive thyroid since those symptoms seem to be much more than i am experiencing. i was on a good amount of antibiotics about a month ago and maybe that is causing some side effect, but other than that i dunno. it could also be the fact that i am out of shape and just starting to get active again. i'm by no means overweight though 5'10 165-170. also since this i'm trying to cut out the crap foods hopefully it will just clear up and be a non event.

Yea, that can't be good when hyperactive thyroids are running around, especially when you have been nothing more than a random idiot.  :p :D

ESL'er here. Mrs. Doubtfire was the first time I had ever heard of Hot Flashes. I really thought it was when your nipples burned. Carry on...

"bleeding" and "nipples" do not belong in the same sentence. I didn't know that was possible.

My nipples used to break at the seal, but would not bleed, and what hurt was when the salt gets in there. That is what kills. I'd get that after playing ball for like 4 hours. But once I started running marathons it strangely all went away. Maybe my nipples got harder. ;)

I am type 1 diabetic (juvenile diabetes) and did not know until I was 27. It's a good idea to get tested, so you can get treated, if that's the case. Hot flashes were a major part of me realizing that there was a problem.

Sure it is. For a good example, view Pink Floyd's The Wall movie. Although, I think that bleeding was razor-assisted.
