I was listening to Calvin's radio show the other night. I honeslty forgot how enjoyable he was to listen to. Drexler is just terrible. Repeating everything Bill Worrell says faster and louder is not a way to do color.
Everyone say it, him reading the center comparison stats that were on-screen: "Tonight Amare Stoudamire 9 points EIGHT boards!" (um, it clearly shows 9 points NINE rebounds on the screen what whatever though...) "And Yao with 12 points, and EIGHT boards!" (dude, what are you reading? again, CLEARLY showed 12 points SIX rebounds on the screen, and the points might not have right either) would rather him sound Bullwinkle than act it, but the Drex does his thing
i think everyone does! last night after the game i saw calvin murphy walking by and he stopped to talk to some lady that works at the little bar thats outside of section 101 and i heard a bunch of ppl screaming "we need you calvin! clyde is horrible!"
I think what happened with Calvin has made the Rockets scared to let go of Clyde. The Rockets obviously know how bad he is but won't do anything about it. FWIW, I saw Clyde on TV courtside in Portland when the Blazers beat the Pistons. He can't make to Rockets road games (which is a good thing), but he can go to Portland while the Rockets are in Memphis. Of course, he made it back to Houston in time for the Lakers game the next night.
Well that's ok. Drexler sounding like Bullwinkle doesn't bother me. Now if I start hearing the voices of Natasha and Boris Badinov, then I will worry. LOL
To his credit he did a great job last night
I think Bullard cancels him out
they should do the Tri-broadcaster thing more often
Don't forget that he somehow managed to clear space in his busy schedule to work the game in Miami last year. I wonder if the rockets left Bullard behind while Clyde hit up south beach.
