One thing that this team really lacked, and sometimes still does, is effort. I thought we went into a hostile environment and did everything we could to try and pull out the win. The j*zz made plays at the end and we didnt. Granted the refs didnt help us much either, but still all that matters is the score. All I know is, win or lose, this is a team that I can fully support. Oh and anyone else find it annoying how Bullard and Worrell were all over Williams' d*ck?? I know hes good but i dont need my team announcers telling me hes 'simply the best' every other minute. They should hate the j*zz as much as me. (pun intended)
I was impressed, after being down 13, the previous times the rockets just couldn't even try to come back. I was happy with the effort, after all it was the 4th game in 5 nights.
No I am not impressed. After 12 ****ing years of not getting out of the first round it will take more then a loss to the Jazz to impress me.
I wasn't happy with the outcome but I wasn't disappointed with the effort. B2B with our rivals at that at their city and kept the game in suspense. Spurs lost and Phoenix lost to make things better though. If Portland lose's tonight won't be as bad.
I am. Reality check though. I am worried about our role players, Brooks and Wafer, in a playoff setting. IMO Barry needs to replace Wafer completely in the playoffs. And Brooks, man if he isn't connecting he is a huge liability.
Lowry led us back with his effort. There's no reason why we shouldn't run ISO plays for HIM instead of Yao and Ron. He's as good as any of them at getting inside and either getting a high percentage layup or drawing the foul.
The team did put out great effort, but we still can't stop Deron Williams and Carlos Loozer. Why hasn't Adelman figured this out?
Yao play a horrible game...not impressed. Why does he always play like he's below 7'6. Even when he do a jump ball, he lower his body to the height of his opponent instead of rise up and scare people. Why is he so fragile and keep falling even with little bump.
i don't see why there's still people late in recognizing it.. the effort in this team has been a constant since Tracy left the team.. and it's not ever going to stop being there.. their poor games have been mainly due to.. stupidity and moments of errant thinking.. by the team.. such as the chicago game.. lapses of focus.. and questionable coaching in the pressuring situations..
yeah, i feel exactly the same. tonight exposed both of their weaknesses... as long as they're not hitting, they don't do much for us. Brooks isn't a great passing PG and Wafer doesn't pass... they're both average defenders at best, and against big PG like Williams, Brooks will get owned. I'd like to see Lowry get more minutes... he can get to the line, he's aggressive on D, and he can actually throw it over his guy when throwing the ball into Yao. We get at least 1 TO per game b/c Brooks decides to bounce pass the ball off someone's leg while trying to pass it to Yao.
So far in his "baptism by fire" he looks a little overwhelmed @times. He needs 2b aggressive and if he is not, like 2nite, RA will put in KLowry.
honestly.. there's no reason or logic in trying to latch on to a bright side that's been there.. several games back..
