Due to this continuing drought and heat? I feel exhausted and short tempered and I am not stressed at all with anything else. Could it be constant 100 degree temps and "burn the skin" sun non stop? I seriously get almost sick to my stomach seeing the long range forecast everyday and want to punch the weather guys on TV. Like, in their faces, not in their belly or pancreas. Right on the nose. I swear, if the NHC center gave us a nice Tropical Storm I would even try to bake them a cake.
I feel bad for my family . . . and I will twist the knife and say I feel somewhat guilty it's been unusally mild up here on the east coast for most of the summer, highs in the low 80's and sunny, with sufficient rain.
Has there ever been another drought like this in the Houston area? Growing up in Houston, I don't ever remember drought conditions.
I can't say I'm getting more irritable but maybe because that's because i grew up in west texas and then lived in Tucson...so i'm use to little/no rain. However, out there it's to be expected unlike here.
I was starting to like it when we were in that high pressure system a couple of weeks ago. It was high in temperature, but low in humidity, so there was a constant breeze that kept things pretty cool. Now though, I just feel like we're inside a gigantic mouth.
After enduring a terrible winter on Colorado this year, I am enjoying the heat of Houston a great deal
No, I don't. F*** YOU. Spoiler I kid, man. Lighten up, mother ****er. Nice imagery and comparison, sir. I don't think I've ever seen anything COLD and DRY come out of any butthole.
I'm still soaking up the rays with a smile on my face. I'm sure by the end of this month, I'll be begging for a tropical storm or cold front.
??? sorry, miss. That was the first thing I thought about. Also: FAIL... there's no smile in the picture.
It's Awwight. My AC broke a few weeks ago and I've grown accustom to sweating balls in my ride till I get out and feel a lot better outside
We were sick of it and decided to get the F out. We've been in Sweden for about 2 weeks and come home after next week. It's about 60 degrees right now so we have all the windows open. I'm finishing up a little work before my last meeting of the day while having an 18 year old Scotch. I'm dreading coming home but right now doesn't really suck.
Not even remotely cleverly disguised "look how awesome I am you poor saps suffering in houston" post. Jerk!
