    As alot of you know.........I have a chocolate company and I am really blessed that it is doing so well. I have a website which accepts Paypal but I need something more for my business because I tend to get alot of customers and they are "in-person" orders. I searched on Paypal and it seems that they have "Virtual Terminal" for 20.00 a month plus some other fees that allow you to accept credit cards any way you can imagine.

    My question is this: Has anyone here operating a business and going this route using Paypal? I wanted to get as much info on it before I dive in and spend the $ on all of these monthly fees.

    Here is what Paypal says:

    Expand your online business beyond the internet, without additional merchant account fees. Use PayPal's Virtual Terminal to accept payments for phone, fax, mail, and in-person orders - even from customers who don’t have a PayPal account. Let PayPal process payments in your offline store, at trade shows, or wherever else you deal with customers.

    Virtual Terminal lets you:

    * Grow your business
    Accept orders and payments from customers who prefer not to pay online, or who don’t have PayPal accounts.

    * Use PayPal as a one-stop payment solution
    No need for a separate merchant account -- we process the orders through a PayPal-hosted online payment form.

    * Keep costs low
    You pay no setup fee, and our monthly fee is lower than what most merchant accounts charge. Virtual Terminal is included at no cost with Website Payments Pro, and you can add it to Website Payments Standard, Email Payments, and PayPal as an Additional Payment Option for just $20.00 USD per month.

    Anyone out there with more information on this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    I don't use Virtual Terminal ( I do accept Paypal), but I have a cc terminal in my office that I use to punch in cc numbers (mail order). I can tell you that the terminal costs over $30 a month to lease, so the $20 charge from paypal would be less than what the physical cc terminal would cost to lease, so their monthly fee doesn't seem excessive.

    What does the company charge you per transaction? I think Paypal charges 2.9%.
