Here's my dilemna. I was forced to sign a contract unwillingly by my Dad to fuel his ambition. The contract is with a bank for commercial real estate. Can I legally terminate this contract based on this? Is there anything I can do legally to get this off of me w/o ruining my credit. There's alot of negative things I can say about my pops, but due to respect I'll let it slide and just say Im sick and tired of his bs.

Well based on the real estate on the fly courses I just took:

    a) If you're a minor, which I assume you're not, you can void any contract

    or

    b) if you were forced to sign the contract as you say, perhaps you could fight that in court.

Have you tried talking to the bank about the situation?

I'd think there's a lot more paperwork to sign.

    Don't sign anything else.

Are you, by chance, a minor?

Are you, by chance, a minor?

or mentally incapacitated? or under the influence of drugs when signing?

No, maybe no, and no. Its a long story, to put it short my dads a bully/punk who does literally anything to get his way.

Lets put it this way. Who in their right mind would sign a huge loan/contract with no compensation or benefits? My dad is using me for my credit to make himself money because he destroyed his own credit. If I recieved any type of benefit from this, I wouldn't mind. Since I am not and refused to do it in the first place, I am very unhappy about this situation and would like to get out of it.

Ummm, ok maybe I missed it, but why again did you sign this if you refused to do it in the first place and aren't getting any benefit from it?

I was forced to. He didn't put a gun to my head, but he has his methods.

Let's see, you willingly signed a contract that you knew would be a bad deal when you signed it, and the only reasoning you can give is because your dad is "a bully"...

Unless you have more than that, it looks like your dad could hire Lionel Hutz and still win a court case against you...
