I'm going to Carter's tomorrow around noon...If you want to join me in a shoot around, let me know.

    I'll have the m1a Springfield.

    :)

    Bring drinks and cookies...

I would, but I can't get out to Carter's tomorrow. I have to get a lot of things done around the house in order to make up for losing all that money in Vegas. :D

No, that would be any number of Manny Ramirez hangout threads about his popularity.

The only way I'll join your crazy ass at the shooting range is if you're wearing a target and are less than 100 yards away from me:D

No, but seriously, I want to go to a shooting range one of these days, but I live in Austin:(

I would love to join you but I am in the middle of my last finals - I hate school! I just got a new .357 I want to try one handed, after the 14th!

I'd love to join you but I'm stuck at work. I've been looking into getting a M1 and would love a chance to shoot yours before I get my own. Have a good time at the range.

I'd love to go too, but alas, I'm at work!

Maybe a weekend thing would be good!

Thanks for the response fellas,...I'm actually gonna get there about 2 p.m. with 140 rounds to waste. This is actually the first time I will shoot my national match .308 (actually 7.62 X 51 nato) M1A...of course, I'm excited!

I am on a mini-vacation till Friday, so maybe next time...

    :)

nice rifle...! I wish I had a Weatherby.

hey, I didn't see you there,...not many people there at the Spring location today (a bit unusual). Believe it or not the worst thing was all the mosquitos eating me alive...also don't shoot next to the trash cans since the killer bees like to hang out there...

I had a good time and got notice of a couple admirers. the Springfield M1A may not be as refined as a Weatherby, but it surely has considerable reputation...As a kinda sad side note, one guy asked just to look at it for a minute since his Brother used one in Vietnam (I suppose by the tone he died there.)

Give some more warning next time. I have an M1 Garand that's still packed in cosmolene that I've never fired.

I'd like to give it a go-round, and I bet it would get some looks too.

I don't have a Mark V....but I do have a first generation Vanguard....that fires the same round as the Garand.

If it's in .30-06, I got nearly 100 rounds that I'll give you. I no longer have my .30-06 bolt action. I'll probably go again on Wednesday...I plan on trading a couple for a Desert eagle in .44 mag. that day...(I'm still thinking about this trade in)

I couldn't go during the week...it would have to be during the weekend. I wouldn't want to "take" your ammo, but we could certainly run some of it through that Garand. Are they like hot handloads? I'd like to take it easy on the old girl.

What the hell are you talking about??

Don't you mean your threads about guys going around your dorm trying to get into it with fraternities or is it those drunk threads?? Those are always real winners....

From what I heard the m1 Garand is in a class of it's own...I don't think nothing short of blatant abuse could hurt her. btw, I got clean and recent 180 gr. FMJ factory loads and common 150 gr. winchester power point ammo. The weekend can be crowded right about now and I usually work on weekends but I have 1 or 2 weekends off per month...I think if I want to shoot with any of my Clutchcity friends, it will probably have to be Sat. or Sun.

I'll post again when I "target" a certain weekend to go...
