A weird first round twist would be if we got stuck with red hot denver in the first round...and it's possible... If an injury plagued Seattle (loser of its last 4 games) loses its last six games (including two against the rockets)...red hot Denver (winner of 9 of its last 10) wins its last six... and the rockets go 4-1 (only loss being against denver), the standings would be: Denver: 51-31 Houston: 50 - 32 Seattle: 50-32 Denver would win its division and jump to the third seed. Houston would win the tie breaker with seatle having beat them 3 out of 4 in the regular season. This scenario isnt likely. Seattle has a likely win against NO and Denver has to contend with us, phoenix and memphis. Plus Kings' spot isnt secure either with a couple games coming up against Phx... ... but the idea of playing Denver first is a bit chilling... I don't think the Rockets want to start off with nugs. I'll take playing limping Seattle over a confident Denver any day.
Iam sure that Sonics will find a way to win atleast 1 game which is all they need to win the division. I also feel Denver will lose a game (maybe 2) before the season is over.
This is a sidenote, but my girlfriend just told me that she heard on the radio that Tony Parker is actually homosexual.....saying that the whole eva longoria thing is a cover up. Can anyone confirm this?
Don't believe it. But possible..but not possible because he's gonig out with Eva Longoria! Don't know
Now tell me why Eva Longoria would go out of her way to help very publicly cover up Tony Parker's homosexuality? Or if you're saying she doesn't know, then why would Tony Parker have a very public relationship with a woman if he wanted to stay in the closet. He could stay single and pretend to be a playah. Anyway, this is off topic.
she is a huge spurs fan and could be using this to get great seats for free and being able to meet all the other players and have access to the locker rooms etc
Well, duh. All French people are homosexual. And am I totally nuts or did not Eva Longoria (who is way overrated, by the way) say on a national tv broadcast that she is already married to somebody else? Anyway, to answer the question in the topic title...No. I don't want that, and it ain't gonna happen.
No friggin' way I'd want to go up against Denver. Not since they got that new player on their team: Mo Mentum. They've lost only 2 of their last 23 games, with wins against San Antonio (twice), Seattle, Memphis (twice)... . That's fierce. Since mid-February, only one team has beaten them (PHX twice). No thanks. Not that I feel so great about playing any other team. Damn, the West is tough! -- droxford
Any combination of Seattle wins & Houston/Denver losses adding up to 2 means Seattle finishes ahead of Houston/Denver. I don't think Seattle will lose the rest of their games. I also don't think Houston or Denver will win the rest of their games, especially since we play each other. So it's a mute point.
No No way -Our back court may perform great, with Yao having a banner series, but our poor power Forwards will get smoked by Martin, Camby, the Denver front court....
Since everything is possible, technically, we might still get home court advantage against Sea. Imagine we win all the remaining games, Sea win only one game, but still get the #3 seed, we stay at #6 seed, but we have a better record, we'll have the home court advantage. Isn't this what we all want?
I'd like to see it because it'd be such an incredible out-of-nowhere climb. When Karl came aboard, they were not even in the playoff hunt. What they've done is incredible enough. Getting to the 3rd seed though would be ridiculous. Of course, no way would I want to play a team on that kind of hot streak. My deep, heartfelt gratitude for spelling "moot" correctly.
Is there an alternate spelling I don't know about? I just sat here for about a minute trying to come up with other ways to spell it.
