http://www.mycricket.com/ Heard about this in the paper last week. Just wondering if anybody here has it, or knows anybody that has it. The plans look great for $45/month, unlimted mins, voice mail, caller ID, etc... But looks like you can't roam in them, or you can, just got to pay a fee? Weird but if anybody has any expierence, please share with everybody else. I myself is stuck with TMobile for another 9 months, but then again, im happy with them, had them since 2000, so not thinking of changing anytime soon. Just maybe an option later down in the future.
Cricket is just now rolling out in houston. You can roam in cricket areas, but expect high roaming charges else where. Its great if the furthest place you go is the grocery store.
Houston is just now getting CricKet? Wierd. It's decent if you stay local all the time. I make too many long distance calls and I roam too much, so it's never been worth it for me. But they're pretty successful around here.
They just rolled out with CricKet in the Houston Market. I think it's something like unlimited crap for 45 a month. They had this thing for it at City Hall. I stopped by real quick, and left because it smelled horses ****. No really, it did. They had horses and they were pooping everywhere. NOT COOL. There werent a lot of hotties there.
I hope this thread isn't too old to bring back up. I now see Cricket is $35 for unlimited local. I never make long distance calls. In fact I rarely use my cell, but I would like unlimited local calls in Houston. Does anyone know more about this? Do you have to buy one of their phones? http://www.mycricket.com/plans/3/Cricket-$35-Unlimited-Classic.html
A friend of mine has Cricket, and boy does his service suck. I used it and I can barely hear the person I'm talking to. The call never dropped but it might as well have, I couldn't make out anything. Sounded like a scratched CD. Horrible.
They had CricKet in ABQ in 2000.... it stunk. Go around the Mountain and no service. Buyer beware near skyscrapers.
i know two people who have it and they often have to call a number multiple times just to get a connection. if you're thinking about it don't do it. too good to be true.
