I missed the call, but Willie from KC got ran and then roasted by Rome and the callers for supposedly saying something Anti-Semitic. What in the world did he say because he got destroyed on that show, and Rome told him never to call again, and Willie is one of the more well-known callers on the show! It got so bad that Kansas City callers, legit, said that he didn't represent them.
I missed most of it because of traffic but here is what I got from it: Willie started saying something about Jews would be easy to beat in Adult League softball or baseball because they wouldn't care about the games because they all are pre-occupied with law degrees and bank jobs. He also said he could beat up any Jew or something, and started saying a bunch of common Jewish names that he could beat in a fight I think. He said they wouldn't fight because they wouldn't want to lose their jobs or money? I didn't really pay attention until Rome slammed him midway throught he call. I have to agree it came off way racist, props to banning him forever.
wow...it's really hard to imagine someone saying something like that on a national radio show, even if they really felt that way. how awful.
Thanks for the info smash. Wow. I agree Max, I'm stunned someone would say that, especially on Rome's show where Rome, seemingly every day, has to discourage racists from calling his show. I caught the end of the call because I listened to the beginning and fazed out on the rest because I've never been a fan of Willie's calls and his singing. Then it was weird, Rome cut him off and called him out on the racist stuff. Then slowly while he was talking it seemed like Rome just got angrier and angrier, I think he was in shock at what he heard. Strange.
Otis in Austin called in on Tuesday and had one of the most hilarious calls ever...... Rome racked him.....
I was listening to Rome on the way to lunch and he was saying people keep sending him that story about Scottie Pippen. He wouldn't obviously talk about the content, just saying stop sending it to him because he has gotten it numerous times. If you've seen the threads that have been removed you know what I'm referring to.
