Whats the reason for Cato's awesome play lately? Theres got to be a reason, just want to know who or what lit a fire in Cato.
He started to play harder, and hustling. . . . . other than that I dont know Its been nice to hear about though
I think Steve and Mooch are doing a good job penetrating, and Cato has always been good at drifting towards the basket when he's see Francis, Mooch, or Cat get around their man. The difference now, is that he's catching the ball and he's making the dunks. In the past, half the time he would fumble the pass, and then half the time when he didn't fumble the pass he would miss the dunk. Plus, I see a lot more hustle out of Cato on the boards. Like last night when he fought his way in to get a rebound after a missed free throw. That's when it sealed it for me that this was no fluke. Cato is playing good. Another thing, could the Francis/Cato alley-oop become the stockton/malone pick-and-roll of the 2000s? Hell no, but they do run it almost to perfection. And it seems like they can pretty much do it at their own will.
Cato fumbled passes so much because his timing was off in getting to the boards. He is now expecting the feed, so his timing is much better and he is always in position too. Which is why is rebounding is improving too. He is crashing boards versus out of position. i wonder if someone has been working on his hand skills? uhuhuh, you said hand skills
