Anybody know anything about 7979 Westheimer apartments?

I don't know anything about those apartments, but I second your sentiment that bad ratings on those sites can mean little sometimes. I think about it this way...people go to those sites to complain about things. Very rarely will someone review a complex on those sites to say nice things.

 

Ghetto and a a lot of drugs go in and out of there.

 

Lol. That was actually considered one of the nicest apartments in Houston 20 years ago.

Amazing how crappy complexes become in such a relatively short period of time.

 

The general rule for apartmentratings.com seems to be that 70% might as well be considered perfect, whereas anything above 40% is ok, and anything below is a warning sign. Mostly disgruntled people go there to write reviews, so don't be scared if the ratings are kinda low, sometimes those can be directed at management that is no longer there, too.

 

I heard someone died there and it might be haunted.

 

My ex used to live there. Its not terrible its pretty loud I saw a few cars that got busted into but I think that happens at every apartment...............

 

A lot of drug dealers live out in those apartments. My buddy has busted a few of those guys...

I heard in the early 90's that was considered one of the best apartments in that area.

Don't a lot of strippers live there? Drugs and strippers sound like a good combo for me.

An ex of mine used to live there. She pulled a gun on someone as they were climbing into her window. This was 7-8 years ago, maybe.

All I've ever heard about 7979 is drugs and strippers, and not the higher-end strippers banking $1000/night, either. They live in nicer places.

 

This is all so surreal to me. I lived at the Swiss Village from 90-91. We were only a couple blocks from there but they were considered THE place to live... At least when you were 18-20 years old. We used to race Porsches down Westheimer around 2 a.m. This was Richmond before it became Richmond. It was just so easy drinking with your friends until 2:00 and then cruising on Westheimer picking up the girls who left.

Now it's dealing with Match idiots not realizing what sarcasm is.

much better than the rating imo...the price i pay doesn't hurt...560 for 900 sq. ft. in a very nice area. (briar forest and gessner).

Yeah that is definitely a good price, but looking it up now, it seems as though the price has gone up for the 900sq ft model. I see there's attached storage units/garages though. Do you know if these are only available with certain models?
