I have recently started a new job as a recruiter. My company works for all the big players in town so if you or you know anybody looking to change jobs contact me at marc.blankenship@epcglobal.com I'll talk to anybody.
im in the gas business at least once a day im will be job searching in about a month after grad school. Any small startup biodiesel companies??
nice. alt fuels and new technology use (particularly new ways of input via motion sensing) are a couple areas i want to look. any positions need to be filled?...not janitor..er, waste engineer
I'm in the same boat as Donkey, except I am more interested in environmental positions. out of grad school in spring 08 (I hope....) I might send you and email later on bigboi...
what if i'm just looking into something new. i know nothing about the oil and gas industry. you got an entry level position for a total newb?
Mostly looking for exp people with engineering or design background but we do some other things like data entry and human resource, all I can say is if you have any oil and gas exp the industry is booming so you need to look around.
that's kind of a problem for me. My experience is thermal and loads analysis in rockets (no joke). Loads of systems engineering work as well for project management. Last time I talked to an oil/gas recruiter (quite some time ago) he said it would be hard for him to place me given my exp was in another industry. He said I was definitely qualified, but that he could not justify that to his customers in lieu of someone with direct experience. Sigh.... Job searching blows.
I just found out that we do some clerical and accounting things so if anyone is looking for short term assignments I might be able to hook you up. The jobs usually pay in 12 to 20 dollars an hour range and have the possibility of permanent employment.
Forgot to add.. roughly 1 year of experience. but would like to get back to the houston area if possible
my wife has about 1.5 years experience in drafter/designer of offshore systems. Her company is sending her to PDMS training this summer. They say she will need to pay back the training cost (prorata portion) if she leaves the company within two years. Anyone know what this training costs and if that is standard practice?
question, do they pay you well at all for oil and gas recruiting in Houston? It's seems to me everyone wants to be here for that industry so it seems sending someone to LA or OK would pay you more unless the Southeast Texas area is your zone.
any interest in somebody with a masters degree in organic chemistry? (no previous experience in the oil industry)
