I'll be there if anybody wants to grab a beer or some rediculously overpriced garlic fries. Also, a very special and heartfelt thanks to the Clutch BBS's very own Vengeance for snagging the tickets for me. You sir, are the bomb.
You're killin' me, man! Have fun. I'm still in shock from the Houston show (my first). On a related note, I was just sitting here at work blasting DMB through my headphones (like I do every day) and a hot chick I've never seen before walked up behind me and said she noticed my DMB wallpaper on my computer. Turns out she's also a fan. Now I've just got to find out if she's single. DMB = Good Karma.
Yeah man, I'll be there. E-mail me at blake@corp.swirve.com and I'll buy you a beer, despite your crazy political leanings!!
Hey SM -- glad you got the tix!! Well, I'd catch MANY beers with you if I could, but I'm stuck in Houston Next summer, I think I'm gonna take a much bigger road trip than this year's measly 3 shows. I missed the show in KS b/c of work, so I only hit Houston, Dallas and SA. Next year, MORE!
Pretty good show. Grace is Gone with a slide guitar into going straight into Watchtower was undoubtedly the highlight. The encore was a little disappointing after the quality of the rest of the show. A good mix of songs were used from the different albums, though many of my favorites were omitted. I have to say that what people say about DMB is true. As great as their studio work is, they really are much better live. Also, got to meet RM95. What a jerk. Actually he was very nice. Had a couple drinks and chatted for awhile between the Roots (who were almost impossible to hear, never have an opening act that does not speak/sing very clearly.) and Dave. Overall I give the experience 4.5 stars, my getting lost on the way back to my car notwithstanding.
