Anybody else getting sick?

I have a sore throat right now. Every single cold I ever get starts out with a sore throat. The sore throat will last a couple of days, go away, then I'll get a runny nose and start coughing for about a week. I HATE having a sore throat, too! That sore throat spray from the pharmacy works for about 10 seconds, then the sore throat comes back. Maybe I'll just chug shots of it this time, instead of spraying.

Oh well, it gives me an excuse to buy another bottle of cherry flavored Ny-Quil. Nectar of the Gods!

My family's fun little hobby is one of us getting sick and then passing it all through the house. Great fun.

3/4ths of us got a cold a few weeks back that was a pain in the butt for about a week for me.

I am feeling exactly what you're feeling, A-Train. I have that cough for a week, but it's funny how my youngest daughter had what I have now, and she didn't have a long-week cough that I still have now... she's well now.

So does that one medicine one takes for airborne germs work? What's that called?

I've noticed ever since I have washed my hands often and use hand sanitizer in my car (before eating a burger or whatnot)- I don't get sick too much...

I also did take a flu shot which I typically don't do...

Haven't had a sore throat in a long time, and thankful for that. I used to be just like you, get sore throats always before I get sick. Lately, I have gotten sick but without the sore throat, it's so much better.

I know this is gonna sound crazy but I promise you that it works. Go to a health food store and buy a jar of Organic Coconut oil.....and take a spoonful of it. You could also put a spoonful on toast (like butter) Your sore throat is guaranteed to go away. Coconut oil is also the only oil that is actually healthy for you and makes everything tastes a million times better if you cook with it.

This INDIAN pal at work said that there is some pill he has at home that you rub into honey, and then you put it on your throat, and by two days your cough and sore throat are gone.

Does anyone know anything about this?

I keep forgettin' to go to his house to get some of it.
