Even if he doesn't have 20, if he's leading the league in sacks, they pretty much have to give him DPOY again.
Josh Norman will get, and deserves, some consideration. Given the year that defense and team are having / combined with Watt getting it the last 2 years, I could see voters going for him. Hopefully not. And if HOU continues this defensive about-face, I can't see how the majority would ignore him

Well it wouldn't be 3 straight for JJ, Kuechly got it 2 years ago, but it would be 3 in 4 years for JJ. As to Norman, the last time a DB got DPOY without putting up twisted interception or force fumble numbers was Bob Sanders in 2007....and I'm not 100% sure why he won that year, I'd have given it to Antonio Cromartie if I was going to give it to a DB that year.
He's right though. Dumb casual fans might not realize how much JJ Watt is held because it's called so infrequently.
Yeah the word "literally" shouldn't be used there. The only way it would make sense is if it was a figurative use of the world "literally". JJ Watt is held more often than anyone else I can remember.
The reason I don't mind McNair commenting on it, even if it's not 100% accurate, is because maybe it draws a bit more attention to it and leads to a few more holding calls.
Kuechly will get some votes this year too, even with the games missed. Chandler Jones might get some too with all the injuries that team has had to endure. Needless to say, it's not a done deal yet.
Right now along with Watt, Norman and Keuchly will definitely get some votes. Chandler Jones should as well. Another guy is Ziggy Ansah. This last month of the season will probably determine the award. Watt does get to face the Titans and Jaguars in his last two games which should help him.
What people don't get is it's just not the sacks...people focus on sacks but look at everything he does not including sacks...that is why he is potentially becoming the GOAT at his position. Bree's has NEVER been shut out concerning throwing TDs ever in his history of playing for the saints and this guy was in his mind all day. It's starting to really get fun watching Watt this month and into Dec.
