Ugh. A rotten day is turning into a rotten night. it was one of those every-computer-and-application-is-breaking days at work today. But that was easy compared to others. My kid had diarrhea at school, so my wife took her home. She's been puking and pooping ever since. She can't even hold down water. Every ten minutes she's waking up with stomach cramps. We've given her medicine (rectal suppository) twice as per doctor's directions, but she's still miserable. My wife has spent most of the night washing underwear, bedsheets, and towels (in between cleaning up puke and poop). She's trying to get some sleep right now. Me? I'll try to find some time tonight to get some sleep, I guess. Tomorrow at the office is gonna be a b****.
Sorry to hear about that. I'm heading to bed. I just got done making a Valentine's present. Hope your night turns out as well as it possibly could, and I hope your daughter is alright.
I'm awake. Probably be awake until 4 or 5. Working the 2-10 shift with an hour's drive either way means my sleep schedule is all sorts of screwed up. Going to go watch last week's Lost now.
My youngest son had this about 2 weeks ago, then I got it last week...it lasted only 24 hours. Good luck. DD
its only near midnight. still up? pshhh, i could go to 4am, except i won't, because i have to wake up extra early tommorow. that sucks for your kid though. hope she get's better, cause i bet that sucks.
Wow, that sucks. Good luck with that. I'd make her a bed in the bath tub if there is such a problem with the poopin and pukin.
Ugh. Well, I hope it only lasts 24 hours. Doc told my wife that it might last a week! AAAAK! After watching a few scenes of an episode, it looked intriguing. So I downloaded the entire first season of the net. And... thank God I did. After a couple of episodes, I found that I really liked the island adventure and really didn't like all the flashbacks. So I'm skipping all the flashback scenes and staying with the island plot. I haven't seen any season 2 episodes yet. I've read a couple of scripts online, though. HAs Michael gotten Walt back?
I'm very capable of staying up til 4am. But it makes it REALLY hard on me at work the next day when I do that. So, I try not to do that to myself any more.
As 'dirty' as the situation is, this was....beautiful to read. Something about washing pooped-up sheets and clothes in the middle of the night melts my heart. You two must love your girl. Hang in there buddy.
It's just part of the job of being a parent. and.. hey! In a few years, she'll be a teenage know-it-all punk who hates my guts! yay!
Damn, that sucks. I had a really bad diarrhea a month ago. Try to get her to drink some warm water, that might help. I'm gonna be up to studying for my midterm tomorrow.
She can't hold down anything. We gave her two tiny pieces of crushed ice. She puked it up immediately. I haven't experienced this much vomit since the last time I read a post by Fatty.
ouch. tough night. you're daughter is lucky to have parents that really care for her. good luck with the situation. hopefully it gets better soon.
Makes my daughters runny nose and cough seem like nothing. My wife and I alternated throughout last night because the toddler couldn't sleep because she was gagging on drainage. Sick kids are no fun, but puking is the worst. I can remember laying on the bathroom or kitchen floor all night as a kid because it just kept coming up. My only advice is to keep the mess isolated to one room.
We're actually very fortunate. At the age of 5 1/2... This only her third time to have a puking illness This is the first time in her life to have stomach cramps This is the first time in her life to have diarrhea She's never had an ear infection
I did a little research for you and condensed all the "I AM SO GOOD FOR WAL-MART" crybaby posts in the "Valentine's Day Shopping at Walmart" thread... Sorry to hear about your child. I have two that thank goodness haven't gotten it, but I hear it's around and that daycares are to blame.
I'll check out that thread. My kid probably got it from her kindergarten class. She's never been in day care.
