i am wondering if they ever wash the covers and those thin brown blankets i know they wash the sheets but do they ever wash the top covers and blankets? i throw them away cause iam worried they are dirty
not often if ever. All of the washing machines I saw automatically put in bleach with the wash, i don;t know what they do when someone throws up on them or something. They must have some machine that can wash them but I have never seen them do it. I worked at the front desk though during undergrad.
I worked part time for Ramada Inn when I was going to college. They don't wash those every day. Once a week they washed them unless they looked soiled.
They never wash the comforter is what I'm always told. Take that thing and toss it off the bed right away. Don't ever use the provided cups either unless they are disposable and sealed. I saw a video where they cleaned them in the bathroom with the same chemicals and gloves they use in the bathroom.
^ I have OCD tendencies and I wipe down everything everytime I stay at a hotel...I would imagine they don't wash the comforters every day so I always throw it on the ground...
I read a study about hotel cleanliness once and it said the dirtiest thing in any hotel room is usually the remote control to the television. Also if you take a hotel in places in big cities, you might also see bed bugs. They bite the heck out of when you sleep.
cleanest hotel i've ever been: $55 comfort suites in portage, wisconsin most bedbugs i've ever seen: tie between hilton garden inn in wisconsin dells, wisconsin and marriott north austin, round rock, tx. all depends on the management.
First thing that went through my head when I read the thread title... 2:20 mark <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/diiL9bqvalo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/diiL9bqvalo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
When my parents came up to stay to see my graduation, they bought their own sheets at Walmart and put them in the hotel beds.
For those of you that are anal enough to worry about this kind of stuff, don't travel and don't stay in hotels. You guys are going to be struggling if you ever have to get real.
Some of my friends who travel alot have this ritual now of peeing in a random spot of the hotel room they are in when they leave. Kinda gross.
