Rockets have a young, but a talented team. Francis is emerging as the all-star caliber point and has much more upside to his career. Eddie Griffin and Yao Ming will be the frontline of the future. So disregarding those three, my opinion is that the rest are expendible to trades that would benefit the Rockets. I've heard Ron Artest for KT and Moochie. Me personally, I think it would be a good trade for both teams. Any other trade ideas or trade rumors for the Rockets???

How about Brian Grant for Kenny Thomas, Collier, and a pick. Some fillers will be thrown in as well but overall, Grant is expendible for the Heat because they are rebuilding and our package of players should help them in that regard. Rockets would love the tough d of Grant to go along Ming and Griffin.

    Here is a trade idea.

Let's shelv all of the trade talk until we know what we have on our own team.

    -Eddie is barely 20
-Boki and Ming are both rookies
-TMo is in just his second year (but looked damn good against Memphis)
-Steve and Cat are the only veterans with a guarunteed starting spot.
-All of our guys are healthy for the first time in two years when we won 45 games.
-We are putting in a new offense

Last year our 4 rookies logged damn near as many minutes as our starters. Our team has undergone such a radical change over the last few years that we need to give them a chance to develope together for a while. Lets find out what we have before we start trying to make trades. Our group looks very promissing.

Preach on brother. We don't have any glaring needs for anything, so let them be!!!!!

Im in agreement on that. It looks like we are healthy this year and with the two new wookies, it would be fun to watch this theam grow and gel together.

If you keep trading people, the team will never gel.

Besides, Rudy wasn't interested in Lewis, so it doesnt really look like the Rockets are interested in any more changes.

If we do end up trading anyone his year, who do you think it will be?

Crash is correct, IMO. The only drama left is who will be the backup shooting guard, Oscar or Pete, so we don't have to trade anyone -- just keep the better of the two.

Crash is correct. We have a very young and talented team. If we have one glaring need (besides deciding on Cat's b/u) it is an enforcer. If KT and Cato can fill that role, then we're set.

Overall, I really like this team's make-up and believe with a little experience it will be great.

I wouldnt trade Moochie for Fortson straight up. All Fortson really has going for him are his rebounding skills.

So...we need good rebounding on a consistent basis. Everyone can't do everything. Moochie ain't worth a darn.

Well we are counting on KT, Griffin and Ming to fill that role nicely. Lets give them a shot first.

I think Moochie has his faults, but hes one of the better back up point guards in this league. He offers a nice change of pace when hes in the game compared to Francis.

Saying moochie aint worth a darn in this forum is like dousing yourself with blood and then going for a swim in shark infested waters. lol (running for cover)

If KT, Griff and Ming cant average 11.5 boards between them, then we are in BIG TROUBLE and might have the need for Fortson. I like their chances though dont you? Thats only like, 4 boards a piece. I think Griff and KT averaged close to 12 between them. Ming should only help.

i don't think we will get any kind of Consistency from them..and Moochie is a non-shooting ..non assisting...waiste of money. He can't carry Tierre's jockstrap.

    BUBS,

I think KT showed great consitency last year, especially when he was asked to play a role he wasnt necessarily prepared to play.

Griff showed great upside until he hit the rookie wall. Hell only get better and Rudy gave up 3 #1 picks for him for a reason. Hes only 20 years old. Hes the starting 4 of the future, if he isnt already.

Moochie was the best clutch shooter on our team last year while Brown rode the pine all season. Moochie mad so many game winning or game tying shots and we would have 3-5 less wins if it werent for him.

Ive never liked how Moochie dribbles the ball too much while the shot clock ticks down, but his clutch shooting and the energy he brings to the court justifies the contract the Rockets signed him to.

IMO, this should be the final word until about February. Let's at least approach the Trade Deadline before this is a concern. The team needs time to gel.

Yao & Boki are new...MoT has never played an NBA game with them or EG...Glen Rice could have a comeback season or he could repeat last season...Tito Maddox at this point is sheer potential and nothing more.

With injuries, trades and draftees the current Rockets haven't had much time to develop that all important chemistry. Let's keep a pat hand for now.

I think we should trade Goodrich to the Warriors for a bottle of Wild Turkey and a bag of munchies to be named later. :D
