I am at DC area with comcast digital plus (has all the redskin, wizard, ravens games). And I am thinking that if we can set up a slingbox share group so non-local fans can get more ways to watch rox games.
slingbox only allow one connection at a time. your best bet is the online streaming program from china. it worked out pretty well last season, pretty much got all the games.
Man if this is true someone on Clutchfans would be my hero. I am stuck in Colombia during much of the season. I would love to set something up with someone.
you guys do realize EVERY game is available here the day after...right? there is no reason why you cant catch every one of them
thanks to the kind kind kind man known as R2K, you too can miss the game and still watch it in its entirety! And listen to the hometown announcers. I used sopcast last year for watching the game live, then downloaded the games the next day so I could see it in better quality. no reason to miss anything.
don't get me wrong. R2K is my hero of this community. But if we can watch the game in real time. hmm, that will be nicer. new slingbox can only have one client, too. It is not because of technical limit, but rather some policy.
I have a Hava, which is a better version of the Sllingbox, last year I shared with Sir Jackie Chiles.... So, I am up for sharing.
I own a Slingbox less than a year old. You can only have one person at a time connecting. You have a Slingbox ID that is unique to your own Slingbox and a password to go with it. When you input both of those, you connect to it. If someone else inputs them, you get kicked off. Slingbox works as a placeshifter; having only one person at a time able to connect is the only way they can keep it legal. That said, I won't use my Slingbox for a Rockets share group. It's hooked up at my dad's house, and having that thing running REALLY eats through the bandwidth.
I still have my Hava and could never get that thing to work.....gave up working with their technical people, they even sent me a new box. Oh well glad someone is enjoying it, wish I was able too........
so beyond illegal. But, I too live outside H-town (Tucson, AZ) and am in desperate need of a hook up, hollar at me dogs.
For those of you that have used a slingbox... what does the picture look like? is it better than the cctv stuff? I'm planning on setting it up at my mom's house - she's has a cable modem.
I did it last year. Its probable I might do it again this year but it'll be a season time decision And I too am wondering if a Slingbox/Hava is worth owning and if its good quality?
i have a slingbox that i use because i am in New York for school and the quality is better than the cctv and all that stuff...the quality mostly depends on internet speeds but for the most part its well worth it.
This former Channelview resident living in New Zealand for five years can testify to this! Rockets2K is the man!
