Looking for cheap and fairly effective ways to get my PC Services business out there. I've posted on both, but was just curious if anyone else knew of any other ways. I will say this. I'm willing to barter if anyone here has a business that will let me give you about 50 or so cards to put on the counter top or will put up flyers at their business. I'll fix your computer problems for $20 (normally $40), excluding any parts. A little bit of a shameless plug, but if anyone either knows effective ways to advertise without much cash currently or willing to house my cards / pinup my flyers... I'm open to ideas
Facebook ads, google adwords, buy banners on local message boards (like clutchfans, or a good idea is to find hunting and fishing message boards in this area because those type of people are usually the ones who need to most help with computers - outdoorsmen usually aren't very tech savy). Or find message boards that women frequent, like hair & makeup - they always need help.
Free newspapers don't charge much like Greensheet, and La Subasta (in Spanish) that do several per-area advertisements. Buena Suerte (I mean Good Luck and also that there is a newspaper called that).
Although I have nothing to add as far as ideas to advertise, I can vouch for TheChosenOne's work. He's quick, inexpensive and most of all, gets it right.
^^^ what this guy said TheChosenOne has helped me out on a few occasions, and each time it's been quick and actually solved my problem. It was a lot easier than dealing with Geek Squad or what have you.
I did a $50 campaign and the money about a month. They charge you so much per click depends on how specific your demographic is. In the first month we had about 5 orders come from the Facebook adds, so it was worth it. From those 5 customers word of mouth got us a few more. Def worth the 50.
