The trade deadline is nearing. Any news on what we're gonna do? We should make a move a la Detroit last year (Sheed's acquisition) in order to boost more our growing team.

i agree that one more trade would boost us into the playoffs. the first two got us in the race but nothing looks sure yet.

the talk was about arroyo, marshall, and cliff. but you never know what pops up.

on realgm there is an article talking about the pistons making a move for arroyo. they offered campbell and a 1st rouder. i think we can offer deke and a first...both deke and elden have ending contracts, but our pick would be better. our playoff hopes might be dashed by losing deke but its a move for the future. i would rather have a 25y/o starting PG who will grow with yao (22) and tmac (24), than a 55 y/o backup center.....even though i LOVE deke.

i would still like to bring in marshall but after watching the knicks/raps game i think he and rose are headed to NY. the announcers were talking about it for most of the game and said that zeke is offering kurt and penny. the only way we can get something out of this is if we take kurt off thiar hands since they have enough bigs. again deke's ending contract is the only thing worth trading.

who do we have that anyone would want to take on? i'd love to trade away some of those contracts to bring in a better player.

i'd also like a million dollars.

It took Shareef Abdur-Rahim to get Rasheed the first time, and a ton of expiring contracts plus picks to get him the second time. I don't think we have the assets, and I don't know if there are players of Rasheed's quality and position available.

I'd love to get Swift over here, despite the Yao facial ;) , anyway we would trade for him in a contract year or have we learned our lesson from Posey?

Donyell Marshall would be more realistic as Toronto seems to be purging, in turn, more suitors though...

Swift can't be dealt... he's on a one-year tender offer contract. Offseason maybe in a sign-and-trade scenario.

Well, let's take a reality check and see what's out there. The guys we want to move are Howard and Taylor, but I think that is nigh impossible. I think it would be easier to move Mutombo and Spoon.

Toronto has Donyell Marshall. But, you have to take Jalen Rose who is making big money for 2 more seasons.

NYK is willing to move Kurt Thomas, but they are looking for talent.

PJ Brown looks to be the only attainable player right now. New Orleans is having a pitiful season and they need to think about rebuilding for the longterm. The only problem is that we need a backup center in return which they don't really have.

    That's just my amature take.

Move Mo T to the Nets for thier trade exeption. It will come in handy for the up coming offseason. Seeimg how we'll have to pull off some sign and trades. (SWIFT)

I'd even give up our first round pick next summer as an additional enticement for NJ to do that deal. With an $8.4 million trade exception, we could potentially get an impact player. Nonetheless, I seriously doubt NJ would even do that deal. Otherwise, they would have just signed KMart, instead. Also, they have more than enough picks coming their way from their prior deals.

would anyone be willing to deal Deke + our #1 for Mike Dunleavy Jr.???

The Rockets need Dikembe pretty bad right now, but he's not getting any younger.

Dunleavy looks like a taller version of Brent Barry, and last summer pretty much everyone on the board was jones'ing for brent to come here.

would goldenstate do this? I've heard grumblings that he hasn't lived up to being the #3 pick. He's a solid all round team-oriented guy who can shoot. Seems ideal when you already have a perimeter and post player who demand double teams.

    Trade Contemplated!

Theres nooo wayy Glodenstate makes this trade. There pretty much giving away a future allstar for a low first round pick and an old but expiering contract. Plus Chris loves Mike jr.
