I thought about going... but the tickets ended up too expensive for my taste. I'm probably going to one of the two Clippers-Rockets games at Staples (Nov. 26 and Apr. 6); there are $15 tickets available for those games.
Best Available seat on Ticketmaster is about 150 bucks (edit:actually there are some 80 or 90 dollar seats left. ticketmaster is hard for me)
I'll be there. I'm hoping Kobe sticks around for at least the opener. He's not a player I like that much but admittedly if he's not on the team, it'll REALLY take a way from the game.
i plan on being there.. havent got my ticket yet, but have been told its being taken care of... cant wait!
i would DEFINITELY go. i have gone to rockets-lakers games the last 2 yrs here in LA (including clippers games) but now i'm in san francisco . o well, i'll be glued to TNT
Never buy tickets from ticketmaster if you can buy from box office. And for those not so "hot" games, you can always buy below face value, i.e.: ticketmaster price > face value box office = face value from brokers just before game start < face value
if i remember right you couldnt buy tickets for this game at the staples box office...i remember reading it somewhere thats why all the pre-sale crap on ticketmaster was like sold out by the time you hit refresh
I went to the game that was on ESPN, where Kobe dropped 50 and the game went into OT, with Yao hitting the game winning lay-in off Howard's pass. I think my entire section wanted to strangle me.
Oh really. I've never been in Staples center before. So why they don't sell tickets in box office? That's weird.
I'm probably going. I'll be picking up tickets within the next couple of days. If i decide to pick up these tickets, then my section will be very close to yours man. I think I'm going to be in like 106/107 row E. I will be the one with an authentic Yao jersey on and a throwback swingman that I will be waving around every time the Rockets score. I will also bring my autographed throwback hat that reads "ROCKETS" in the front in red letters so I'll be pretty easy to spot. It would be fun to meet up or something before/after the game. I already talked to my Spanish teacher and she said it would be cool if i miss class.
Same here, I baught 6 $200 tickets that were originally worth 80 just so I could go with all of my friends, and if Kobe isnt going I dont think theyre going to want to pay the price and Ill be in some serious debt. I swear to god Kobe you better play 1 freakin game
Ill be right on top of you man RIGHT HERE I got heckled last time I went to a game, so Ima be looking to your row in case I need some backup, is that cool?
dang i paid 200 for mine and face was 140...sucks the mark ups. i'll be wearing my francis jersey...probably with my face painted red and my hair dyed silver. i'll be standing and cheering from the get go so if you are around my area hopefully you'll year tm1ym11 and i. if we aren't hassled by the man that is. but i am down for meeting all of y'all before the game just to get to know everyone maybe if we have enough guys organize something for the clippers game like get a bunch of tickets in one area and have our very own road rowdies bunch!
I'll be there. I scored some free tickets at work. Balances out the fortune I paid to take my 9 year old son decked out in Rockets gear to the game on Dec. 15 last year. The Rockets were blowing the Lakers out in the first half and I swear it got so quiet, the only thing you could hear was my screaming and cheering on every play. Too bad they collapsed in the second half after multiple overtimes and Kobe going crazy on us (no TMAC that game). It was not a bad place to be for a visiting fan. Except for the loud f-bombs hurled in our direction by one drunk guy behind us in the second half (probably because of my continued loud support of the Rockets), LA fans are what you would expect: pretty sedate and polite. Better yet, since the Lakers have had such low expectations last year and this year, there will probably be quite a few Rockets fans there (there were a suprising number of Rockets fans last year, they just did not cheer that much/ don't be intimidated, this is LA, not Philly).
I'll be there, Section 215, Row 11, Seats 3-4. I'm going to be in town for training and it just happened to coincide with the game so we bought tix. Woo hoo! Go Rockets!
Will I'm going to have to drive from UC Riverside back to Los Angeles that same day because I have an internship that I can't miss on both Monday and Tuesday so hopefully traffic on the 60 doesn't kill me. I'm probably going to ask the Mayor to let me leave early so I can make good time for the game. And I officially got the tickets: Section 106, Row G. I got somewhat ripped off b/c they were selling the same section, but Row E for same price but someone beat me to them. On a side note, its so funny comparing Laker tickets and Clippers tickets because I got 2 tickets in row C and two tickets to the VIP room for the Clippers tickets last year and the whole package cost me $245 while each ticket for the Lakers game is going to cost me $220. Amazing!
