Well this morning I woke up to find that my dogs had gotten out yet again. Today I'm gonna leave work early and go shopping for an electric fence. Anyone have reccomendations as far as what brand/type to get? Also any advice as to where the best place to buy one would be appreciated. Thanks :)

I don't know very much about pricing, but I've heard "Invisible Fence" works well and does a good job. They do the installation for you. I'm sure you'll be okay whatever way you go though.

Try any fencing company that's close by to where you live. If they don't sell them, they could possibly point you in the right direction.

    And...don't pee on it.

The dogs will mark their territory once and only once.

If you ever have a problem with them constantly "marking" your tires, try hooking up the electric fence to the frame of your car. I guarantee the dog won't pee on the tires again after that! :D

I'd say a 9 millimeter would take care of your little problem. Let me know if you need help, I know people.

DON'T SHOOT DOGS, shame on you for even thinking that!

03, go talk to your neighbors, if that doesn't get through to them, call the cops.

Remember... there are no bad dogs, only bad owners.

If somebody ever shot one of my dogs, I guarentee you I would shoot them back. Wouldn't even think twice about it.

One thing to notice, though; equipment will malfunction.

My boss got one for their two dogs, and one collar was continuously shocking one of the dogs...

Best way to get a dog to stop barking: peanut butter.

I own a ferret. Best damn animal out there. Quiet, litter-box trained, and not annoying like cats or loud like dogs.

03, that's a real good idea... if the dogs are buggin'... go buy a couple of jars of cheap, generic peanut butter. When the dogs start barking, throw the opened jars over the fence... they'll be quiet for a little while... maybe

I think I'm gonna buy one of those sytems that just shocks the dog if they touch it. Much less expensive than the collar/radio wave systems.
